Intriguing, to say the least. My first attempts to clone Fuji-kun were messier than expected, so I have since moved to a more spacious workplace.

At first, I was only capable of creating patches of skin. With greater concentration and a better understanding of human anatomy, I could produce limbs with muscle and then later, limbs with bone. At the moment, I am capable of creating a mass of organs. Ah, it seems that every major organ is present. Excellent. I must say that I am rather surprised that these, for a lack of a better word, "parts" seem to be the correct size and shape for Fuji-kun's age-- I believe that current cloning methods have the subject growing at a normal pace from the embryo stage. Intriguing. Very intriguing.

I believe that in order to produce a full-sized body, however, I will need more material; I am very fortunate that I can recycle what I currently have. Also, I will need more samples from Fuji-kun, and I will need to obtain some from Echizen-kun.

Bullet list:

Water

Disinfectants

Scalpel blades

Pins

Air fresheners

Blender

Coffee

It seems that there may be something akin to karma after all. Perhaps I should go in semi-chronological order.

Unfortunately, I realized too late that the cause of the psionic explosions that injured me and several others on the mission was Dan-kun. My hypothesis is that due to the nature of Dan-kun's abilities, he nullified what control Echizen had over his powers, which was somehow correlated with the explosions. If only Banji-san hadn't been so hasty in administering the serum, perhaps the catastrophe could have been averted.

It was very obvious that the explosion did occur, but then I found myself in another unfortunate situation. I believe that when I was trasported over to the other dimension, as silly as that sounds, my counterpart made his way here as well. Since he did not know of my situation with my former employment, my only guess is that he was not inconspicuous enough and was finally detained. They obviously knew that we were mutants; I was collared in about five seconds of my arrival in my counterpart's place. I cannot say I enjoyed my stay there.

Luckily, Sakaki-san noticed my presence at the facility soon after he acquired it. Perhaps having such political power is useful after all. He was in need of a secretary, and I wished to leave my dire conditions. I could not refuse the offer. I am now living rather comfortably in the Nakamura building. I suppose I should make a trip to Ryuhana to recover my things, though I have a feeling that will be an interesting experience.

My arm is still healing at an agonizingly slow pace. Now I wish I had taken a blood sample from Rin to enhance my recovery. Typing with just one had is quite cumbersome. I shall end this soon.

I also have my counterpart's Sidekick, along with my original PDA; it was apparently confiscated when he arrived. What am I to do with two?

I suppose that is all.

Hello, everyone.

As Sakaki-san has been in dire need of a personal secretary, he has graciously offered me the position. For that, I am thankful. My name is Inui Sadaharu and I have graduated from Osaka University with a BA in Chemistry and Biochemistry. I do have other interests, such as the general health sciences, particularly nutrition, and I have recently discovered a passion for Psychology. My favorite color is black, I like to cook, and I enjoy durians and spaghetti (not necessarily together, though that is an intriguing idea).

<s>My, that sounded oddly familiar.</s>

In any case, I check my e-mail obsessively and I always have my cell phone on hand, should you need to contact me. In addition, please feel free to comment on anything in this journal, as I happen to like reading random comments.

Also, please excuse my appearance. I've had a slight accident and I am still recovering. However, I will do my best in the meantime to fulfill my duties.

All the best.

(OOC: strikes deleted)

Brotherhood Mission Briefing [screened]

On Saturday, August 11, please meet me at the Tokyo Police Department. From there, the officers will escort us by helicoptor to Hokkaido, where we will be working with the local police. By the time we arrive, the Hokkaido police will have already begun the search, but they are ordered not to make a move until we are there. We should be arriving in Sapporo around late afternoon, and if all goes well and the police have located our target, we will begin the raid promptly at 7 PM. If not, we will join in on the search-- by then, it should be dark enough for us to make our move.

From the information I have gathered, there should be 3 other individuals with Echizen Ryoma.

Echizen Ryoga
Echizen Ryoma's elder brother. From what I gather, he is able to mimic mutant abilities to a lesser extent in which he needs to experience the effects of the ability to reproduce it correctly. Either way, I would advise that we proceed with caution when dealing with this mutant.

Hirakoba Rin
He possesses an enhanced healing ability-- when injured, the wound will quickly heal, but he does experience pain. He is also gifted with enhanced senses, so I doubt there is any way we can approach our target without alerting him of our prescence-- we will need to move swiftly. It seems his skeleton has also been infused with a metal alloy much like his counterpart in my world, so I will assume that he has the ability to retract claws that will protrude from his hands. If they are made of Adamantium, they are indestructible so please do not attempt to break them; your efforts will fail.

Fuji Yuuta
He has the ability to manipulate fire (projecting them, etc.), yet he does not produce flames directly-- instead, he can raise his body temperature to produce enough heat to set an object aflame. However, I believe he possesses a lighter and it is most likely on his person at the moment. He is also resistant to fire and heat; however, his one major weakness is his inability to tolerate cold water, or even water in general. <s>How he survives without water is a mystery to me. Perhaps his body</s>

Echizen Ryoma
This picture has been taken before Echizen's accident, which left him with stark white hair. However, if he has been going out in public without us knowing, he mostly dyed it to blend in. Either way, be prepared for all possibilities. He is able to synchronize with another mutant under close proximity and as such, he will possess and use that mutant's abilities to their fullest extent.

Since Echizen Ryoma is the cause of the explosion, it will not do to severely aggravate him-- at least, when he is in control of his powers. That is why I am bringing Dan Taichi, as he has the ability to negate other mutant abilities. However, that also means our abilities will be affected as well, but with sheer numbers, I am hoping we will overpower them. At the very least, I predict that without his healing ability, Hirakoba Rin will not be able to use his claws without the risk of severely injuring himself. He is also highly dependant on his mutation enhanced senses; if I remember correctly, without his abilities, he is basically blind, deaf, and numb. The other three will be depowered as well, but not to the extent of Rin, so they are still dangerous-- please take caution.

Our mission is to pursue and capture Echizen Ryoma only. Do not take any hostages. The police will be our first line of offense, distracting our opponents, then I will lead Dan closer to negate their abilities. Unfortunately, I am not much of a military strategist, so please take caution and be on the alert-- I suspect you are very experienced in these situations.

If there are questions or concerns that need to be addressed immediately, please call me at: xxx-xxx-xxxx or reply here, and I will answer as soon as possible.

Good luck.

(OOC: Strikes deleted. Pretend this was posted Thursday night/Friday morning XD;; If there are some things you think that Inui shouldn't know (this is mostly directed at Anne Marie), let me know and I'll fix it. I'm thinking he did some mad research (or tried to), and in regards to Rin, Yuuta, and Ryoma... they're largely based on his experience with his NV!counterparts, which is why they've got so much more information on them.)

First, I do not see the point of continuing this charade, though I don't believe I played a very good Inui Sadaharu here. But to sum up the explanation, I am not the Inui you know.

Secondly, I'd like to apologize to my students for the lack of activity on my part; I hope you'll forgive me and we can continue on.

I'm sure all of you are aware of the incident coming forth on August 15th, and I'm sure my studetnts agree with me that we should deal with that first. In which case, we will need to neutralize Echizen Ryoma's mutant abilities for the time being, if only to buy time. I ask for your aid in locating a mutant boy named Dan Taichi, whose mutation allows him to negate others' special abilities.

He is 16 years old, with a height of 156 cm. He has medium lengthed, very dark hair, and his defining feature is that the pigment of his skin is a green hue. In our dimension, he was last staying with the Brotherhood. I realize that his situation could be very different in this dimension, but for now, it's a start.

With that said, if you know of any such mutant, contact me immediately. In the meanwhile, I will handle the investigation on the whereabouts of the Brotherhood.
Thank you.

Everyone, please welcome Saeki Koujirou [1] to our entourage.

<s>I've come to the conclusion that perhaps the fact that we were in the same general vicinity may have had something to do with our arrival here. However, it seems that not everyone has been transported, so to speak-- Akutagawa, Fuji Shuusuke, and Echizen seem to be native to this plane. The same can be said about Saeki-kun's charge.</s>

<s>At the moment, Fuji Shuusuke and Echizen were experimenting with Fuji's portal ability. I have heavy suspicions that that is the key. I believe we should start there and investigate this side's Fuji and Echizen, and see what they are capable of.</s>

Again, I believe it's necessary that no one else should discover that we aren't natives to this side. At least, keep the number who know to a minimal.

Also, of another note, please report all findings to me, no matter how trivial they may be.

Thank you and good luck.

[ The phenomenon concerning telepaths has become much too intriguing for me to pass up the chance to study it. As long as everyone is safe, I don't see why we cannot stay on this side for a while longer. Eventually, they may catch on, but any delay, no matter how small it may be, is welcome.

On another note, Yagyuu-kun's behavior is... worrisome. I don't believe he is the right mind to decide to stay here. Hopefully his condition will improve. Perhaps my further study of the phenomenon will allow me to help him. ]

Eishirou, I assure you, I can cook my own meals. I actually prefer to. I will have access to that kitchen.

(OOC: strikes deleted. since we're gonna be doing the AU for a few months or so, uh... it wouldn't make sense for them to solve the case so soon XD So we'll have a sorta-kinda-backstabby Inui on our hands, giving everyone false leads [though I don't know how I'll come up with them]. Anyway, uh, yeah~ carry on)

[Sidekick Log]

Though attending class again leaves much to be desired, especially when I am three years behind on the subject material, my counterpart's interest in the subject has led me to a government-funded research program dealing with a phenonemon that is unique to (this) Japan. My counterpart volunteered as a researcher and has conveniently left extensive notes.

So far, they have determined that most, if not all, mutants with telepathic or empathic abilities have been affected by this phenonemon. However, side effects seem to vary depending on the nature of their mutation. Mutants with full telepathy were most adversely affected, either losing their abilities outright or in the case of Hanamura Aoi, even physically affected; however, the loss of psionic and telepathic abilities is not limited to mutants who specialize in those areas [Marui Bunta]. Other cases in which mutations are loosely based on telepathy or psionics include the sporadic control of powers.

At first, the phenomenon only affected telepathic and psionic mutants; however, the effects seem to have spread even to the general human population. There has been a noticeable increase in cases of sleeping disorders, learning disabilities in children, mental disorders, etc. What is most interesting, however, is that if any mutant that has been affected by this occurance leaves the country, the effects no longer apply to them: they regain their full range of abilities and control.

Though this occurence is unfortunate for the general population, I breathe a sigh of relief. Obviously, I was not able to bring the serum and thus, I am quite vulnerable to telepathy.

On a sidenote, I wonder why they have not transferred Hanamura Aoi to a hospital outside of the country.

Subject: Inui Sadaharu
Age: 25 (as of today)
Occupation: 3rd year medical student at Tokyo University, majoring in Psychology. Aspiring to be a psychiatrist.
Hobbies: Star Trek (Original), personal electronics, cooking

He has my name and identity, but we are certainly not the same person. No one in their right mind would store all their passcodes in a notepad file labled "Passwords" on an equally unprotected computer. All passcodes were even labeled.

I had thought about the possibility that perhaps I do, indeed, have amnesia, but the things I cannot "remember" seem like they belong to an entirely different life. For one thing, I am a Chemist, and though I may have at one time aspired to become a medical doctor, I have long since lost the desire. I have my own memories, and for the lack of a better word, they just do not "fit" here. In conclusion... I have no conclusion. I have a hypothesis, but it seems preposterous. However, since my involvement with Ryuhana Gakuen, and even my involvement with individuals with mutations, I found that perhaps anything is possible.

Apparently, <s>I</s> <s>we</s> he has a roommate, Kite Eishirou. He is much too casual and personal for my tastes, and I'm afraid that is contrary to <s>my</s> his nature. I have informed him that I have amnesia, or at least, I do not remember anything current. I am not certain that he believes me, but for now, it will suffice and cover my lack of essential information. I have yet to decide what to do about "his" classes. I suppose since I have amnesia, perhaps that will be excuse enough to take a leave of absence. I have also discovered that "he" has volunteered to aid in the research of an epidemic that has affected telepathic and empathic mutants since the beginning of the year. I have done some research on-line, and it is a very intriguing situation. Perhaps I will have to go to class after all, in order to justify my further involvement with the investigation.

In any case, for now, passcodes will be changed to ensure the security of my entries, as I will be investigating my situation here. Unfortunately, I do not have my PDA with me. However, "he" has a Sidekick 3. ...Everytime I pick it up, it feels like I'm playing a videogame.

------------------------

<s>Kite</s> Eishirou<s>-kun</s>, I apologize again for Friday's situation. I'm feeling better now.

Also, an announcement for all who may read my journal: apparently, I seem to have a small case of memory loss. I apologize in advance if I do not recognize you. Please allow me time to recover.

[ Perhaps Fridays are not the best time to observe Rin's training class; it seemed more like a recreational period than having anything to do with training. <s>As a consequence, I felt like I wasted my time.</s> At least I've established my presence there. I will have to make time on Monday and Wednesday to observe. Hopefully they will be doing something of substance. ]

[ I have not seen you for quite some time. ]

Miscellaneous

There seems to be no recent news about the Brotherhood, not since the detention. I also recall that the mansion seemed deserted, save for Dan. My only conclusion so far is that they have shifted gears, so to say. Perhaps I will visit the Nakamura Building.

Dan's studies are proceeding in a satisfactory manner. Even though the subjects are quite basic, it is still refreshing to see a student so eager to learn. I'm afraid his overly positive attitude is rubbing off on me.

However, including Dan's tutoring and the workload involved with instructing only a few higher level courses, I've found that perhaps I have taken in more than I could efficiently handle; labs and projects will be beginning soon. As such, I have not had the time to properly observe Rin and Kaidoh. However, it is fortunate that they are both in the same training squad. I will make time for this.

Reminder:
This Friday, April 6; serum

Ah, yes. The <s>date</s> outing went well.

[To Rin: May I stop in and observe your class sometime this week? ]

(OOC: His shields will start to weaken today, and moreso tomorrow.)

Iwashi Water

4 cups of water
9 cans of sardines or 7 whole fresh sardines
1 cup of flax seed oil
12 kiwis
a pinch of Chia sage

If working with whole sardines, remove the heads and clean them. Empty the sardines whole into a container and blend it into a puree. Make sure there are no chunks. The sardines can be raw or cooked, though if the drink will be kept for long periods, it is recommended to steam them first. Peel the kiwis and blend them as well, then mix the two purees with the water and oil. The drink should look like a smooth blend. Add a pinch of Chia sage.

An excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids and DHA, perfect for maintaining brain functions, even after reading the tabloids for a week and a half. It is very refreshing with a cooling effect.

There is still more than half a pitcher left. Perhaps the students would like some.
